Babe Ruth League, Inc., Ripken Baseball, Inc. and the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, Inc., their affiliates and their respective officers and agents cannot control who goes through the certification process as it is open to all interested coaches. Since background checks are not specifically mandated by the Babe Ruth League, if you have any concerns about the coaches in your local league, please contact your local league's administration. If your league chooses to do background checks, those should take place through the help and recommendation of your local law enforcement agency or other reliable resources.
